As the exclusive provider of WALKAWAY products and services, we specialize in large national automobile after-market products, such as creditors insurance and GAP insurance, enabling a minimum amount of administration with the maximum amount of return. We are currently recruiting for a Bilingual Benefits Assistant. The successful candidate will work three days from our office in Oakville, ON and two days from home

As the Bilingual Benefits Assistant you will primarily be responsible for providing support to the Benefits Administration department (Claims Team) in the processing and administration of insurance claims for our mainstreet programs and niche products. The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented individual who is reliable and is committed to meeting deadlines. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

Process and coordinate incoming correspondence, sort and distribute accordingly, attach documentation to appropriate claim file and set follow-up action
Liaise with Benefits Administrators and provide administrative support to the department to ensure claims are processed in accordance with company standards
Input data and process payments (where applicable) for non-standard programs and benefits
Prepare correspondence and process mailings for the payment of claims in accordance with the cheque processing schedule
Provide backup telephone support to the department and assist customers with claims inquiries as required
Receive, process and prepare reports on claimant surveys on a monthly basis
Support the vehicle inspection and returns process. Maintain wholesaler list
Oversee the entry of claim expenses and input data into the claim expense tracking worksheet
Send requests for Google Reviews to claimants
Provide other clerical and administrative support, including data entry, copying, scanning, and filing as required.

Customer Service:

Deliver high quality customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients
Maintain detailed knowledge of new and existing products by liaising with colleagues and insurance company clients
Interact in a professional manner and maintain good working relationships with insurance companies, clients and our internal team
Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures as required by RIBO
Maintain proper procedures to ensure minimum exposure to errors and liabilities

Qualifications and Skills:

Obtaining RIBO licence is a condition of employment
One year of administrative experience in a customer service environment
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to follow proper telephone protocol
Proficiency with Google, Microsoft Office, Access and Internet
Ability to work as part of a team
Self-motivated, adaptable, detail oriented and reliable
Ability to exercise good judgment, recognize scope of authority, and protect confidential information
Successfully completing the two week RIBO Level 1 Licencing program is a condition of employment. The course is offered through the IBAO on August 19th or September 9th
